The 2010 Annual Meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) is scheduled for 18-22 February 2010 in San Diego, California, USA. The theme is Bridging Science and Society. The Program Committee is particularly interested in sessions that highlight the theme but will consider proposals that are not directly related if they involve ground-breaking areas of research, new developments, and cross-cutting activities in support of science, technology, and education.

2010 IOC INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE
1 March 2010 is the deadline for submitting abstracts to the 2010 International Conference of the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO, scheduled for 27-30 April 2010 in Saint Petersburg, Russia. The Conference will address the following questions:
- What is the education and training in marine science about?
- Who are those to be educated and trained and for what?
- What is the role of relevant international organization in promoting and fostering the education and training policy?

This event will be the 44th Annual Congress of the Canadian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society (CMOS) and the 36th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Canadian Geophysical Union (CGU). The Working Waterways & Waterfronts National Symposium on Water Access 2010 is scheduled for 27-30 September 2010 in Portland, Maine, USA. The International Conference on Deltas in Times of Climate Change is scheduled for 29 September to 2 October 2010 in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. SER2011
SER2011, the 4th World Conference on Ecological Restoration, is scheduled for 21-25 August 2011 in Mérida, Mexico. The theme is Re-establishing the Link between Nature and Culture. SER conferences address topics such as: the role of restoration in mitigating and adapting to climate change; reinstating landscape connectivity and reducing fragmentation; threatened and endangered species, populations and habitats; restoring natural capital; policy-making at the local, regional and national level; and traditional ecological knowledge and community-based restoration.
