COLLABORATIVE LOBSTER SCIENCE WORKSHOP
The 2011 FSRS-GOMLF-UNBSJ Collaborative Lobster Science Workshop - Back To The Basics: What Do And Don't We Know About Lobster Biology?" is scheduled for 23 March 2011 in Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada. The Collaborative Lobster Science Workshop is a collaborative effort of the Fishermen and Scientists Research Society (FSRS), the University of New Brunswick Saint John (UNBSJ) and the Gulf of Maine Lobster Foundation (GOMLF). The theme of the workshop is Back to the Basics. The workshop will help identify gaps in knowledge and priorities for research to address those knowledge gaps.

18th ANNUAL CONFERENCE OF THE FSRS
1 March 2011 is the deadline for submitting applications for posters and displays to the 18th Annual Conference of the Fishermen and Scientists Research Society scheduled for 14-18 March 2011 in Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada. DEEPWATER HORIZON CONFERENCE
Deepwater Horizon Conference is scheduled for 13 April 2011 in Bristol, Rhode Island, USA. The subject of the conference is the legal legacy of the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill. the conference will examine the law’s response to the oil spill to date and consider the future legal legacy. Issues of tort liability, natural resource damages, and changes to law and regulation contemplated by Congress and the President's National Commission, will be considered.

The Safer Seas 2011 Conference is scheduled for 10-13 May 2011 in Brest, France. Safer Sea is dedicated to maritime safety and security issues. 30 April 2011 is the deadline for submitting abstracts to the 5th European Coastal Lagoon Symposium (5th EUROLAG), scheduled for 25-30 July, 2011 in Aveiro, Portugal. The general theme of the conference is Coastal Lagoons in a Changing Environment: Understanding, Evaluating and Responding.
